Power in Prayer

Power In Prayer
…from my heart

When you pick up the paper and read “Domestic dispute leads to murder”, how can we as Christians do nothing? As a Christian we have the most powerful resource available – PRAYER! As a mother, father, wife, husband, employee, etc., we have responsibilities, as well as being a Christian. Each one of us is called and have talents and God given abilities. Prayer is one of them. Today we are seeing a rise in domestic violence, crimes, murder, etc. Face it, people have lost their jobs, don’t know where their next meal is coming from, how they are going to pay their rent, keep their lights on, etc. This is enough to stress people out beyond the everyday life stress levels. There is no quick answer, no quick fix to any of these issues. Unless you have ever experienced any of these you might not have a clue as to the emotional toll it takes on someone and/or a family.
I look and see the number of people that proclaim to be a Christian and think it is time to call on all of you and ask you to PUSH (Pray Until Something Happens). Start praying for these little children that witnessed their mother being shot to death 6 times. Then pray for all - from the unborn to the elderly. Pray for the families out of work, pray for the sick, etc. (King James Proverbs 3:27
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.)
You might think to yourself I am only one person I cannot make a difference – remember change starts with only one person why not you!
I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do. ~Edward Everett Hale
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do little - do what you can. Sydney Smith

Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little. ~Edmund Burke
